Initially called by the We Won't Pay Campaign, other anti water charge groups have also endorsed this demonstration. Anarchists from north and south of the border – from Workers Solidarity Movement, Organise! and the broader libertarian movement – will be on this march, supporting the call that the only way to defeat the water charges is through a strong mass non-payment campaign.

The 2007 Dublin anarchist bookfair will take place Sat 3rd March at Club na Múinteorí (the Teachers Club), 36 Parnell square. On Friday there will be film showings at Seomra Spraoi. On Saturday night there is a gig in the HopHouse, Parnell st (the old Shakespeare pub)

Na przełomie lipca i sierpnia główne polskie media przedstawiły historie dwóch polskich pracowników zwolnionych z dublinskigo TESCO z powodu walki o prawa pracownicze. Pikiety zorganizowane przez Tymczasowy Komitet Obrony Robotników odbyły się w kilku miastach w Irlandii, Anglii i Polski. Polskie gazety nazwały to „globalną akcją przeciw Tesco!”. Jeden z wyrzuconych pracowników, Radek Sawicki opowiada nam o swojej walce z TESCO i jej konsekwencjami.

Pracownicy Irish Ferries pokazali jak można oprzeć się atakom ze strony pracodawcy. Odpowiedź pracowników na próby bycia zastraszanym przez kadrę kierownicza i wynajętych przez nich oprychów, była natychmiastowa i bezpośrednia. Nie czekali z założonymi rękami tylko podjęli natychmiastową akcje bezpośrednią w obronie swych żrodel utrzymania i sprowadzając pracodawców do defensywy. To ta akcja przyczyniła się do nagłośnienia problemu aż po państwowe agendy polityczne i zmusiła liderów związkowych do poważnego zajęcia się ta sprawą.

The anti-heroin movement has brought thousands of people to meetings and onto the streets in Dublin's working class communities. Pushers have been sent packing, communities have organised their own treatment programmes for addicts who want to combat their addiction, a sense of power has been given to many who used to feel powerless. In the article below inner city community development worker Patricia McCarthy gives her personal view of why the campaign has been so popular and energetic. Everyone knows by now that Dublin is experiencing a very serious heroin epidemic with an estimated 8,000-9,000 heroin addicts in the capital alone. This situation did not arise overnight but has been growing for the past fifteen years. Heroin addiction and the accompanying H.I.V. and Aids related deaths has become a fact of life for devastated inner city communities, and more recently working class suburbs from Tallaght to Blanchardstown.
