Editorial

Welcome to the first issue of Freedom (formely called Agitate!). Freedom is our tool for bringing the Anarchist idea to the workers and poor but it is also yours, to contribute to, if you wish. We hope that you can learn something from this journal. If you wish to comment on it, or you have any problems that you think we could help you with, please feel free to write to us. Everyone who writes to us for the first time, receives a free Introduction to Anarchism pamphlet, plus various other flyers, as well as a list of Anarchist pamphlets covering such topics as Anarchism, Women's Liberation, Class Struggle, Ecology, Sexuality etc.

For those who are unsure as to what Anarchism is, we give this simple explanation: Anarchism is based on the idea of individual freedom. Quite simply, it means "society organised without authority, meaning by authority the power to impose one's own will", "a society which reconciles the liberty of everyone with co-operation and liberty among all" (Malatesta).

We are sorry about the fact that most articles are in English but we are not very fluent in Zulu and it is difficult for us to get articles translated. If you can help us out, please contact us and we can arrange something. Till then - Strength & Respect
