We, as support bases, deserve these lands

New Ejidal Town of Emiliano Zapata,
Tabasco Ejido Annex

Subject: Public Denuncia

To the Media
To the National and International Press
To National and International Civil Society

Through these means, the EZLN support bases, who are residents of the above-mentioned town, are publicly denouncing Senora Mari'a Socorro Reyna Camacho:

1. For having filed an eviction request in the predios of Medelli'n del Carmen, La Colmena, La Floresta and La Florecilla, on March 30, 2002, at the Citizens Affairs Office in Tuxtla Gutierrez.

2. And, at the same time, [we are denouncing] the federal and state governments for attempting to effect the evictions in those predios.

We would like to remind them that we have been working and residing in these predios on the authorization of the San Pedro de Michoaca'n Autonomous Municipality in Rebellion. What kind of peace is it that they are seeking when they try to carry out these actions? And we, as support bases, deserve these lands, because the bones of our grandparents and great grandparents are there, it is they who are the heirs of these lands. If anything comes to pass, we shall hold Senora Mari'a del Socorro Reyna Camacho and Governor Pablo Salazar Mendiguchi'a responsible.

That is the end of this denuncia.
