The companero Pedro died from the blow he received from the paramilitaries.

Brothers and Sisters.
To the National and International Press:
To the People of Mexico and Chiapas:

The Authorities of the Autonomous Municipal Seat of Francisco Gomez, Chiapas, Mexico, denounce the following: incidents

Today, October 28, we are denouncing the problem of the paramilitaries who are operating in the municipality of Ocosingo, Chiapas, the regrettable incident of July 26, 2001, when paramilitaries from the community of Santa Martha, municipality of Ocosingo, Chiapas, attacked zapatista support bases, headed by Baltasar Caballero Cilva and Domingo Caballero. As a result of this problem, some zapatista support base companeros were left gravely injured.

Today, October 28, at three in the morning, the companero Pedro died from the blow he received from the paramilitaries.

And so we are asking for justice from the relevant authorities, that the attackers pay with everything for the death of our companero Pedro. If the Department of Justice does not see that justice is done, then we shall take measures in order to solve this problem from July 26, that those who headed these attacks are punished.

We are also asking the authorities to see that all of Baltasar Caballero's people leave the land they have been occupying until today, because this land is once again being occupied by zapatista support bases. And that the authorities find other lands for this person, so that we do not fall into the same provocations of July 26.
