Brothers and Sisters All

We express to you, brothers, our energetic disapproval of the government's stance of trampling on the dignity of our zapatista brothers, who are seeking a change with Democracy, with Justice, with Liberty, for all those brothers who know this country, who should be defending the little that remains to us, since the government has been destroying and selling the birthright of the people, such as oil, a part of which no longer belongs to Mexicans, electricity, and now the schools and others as well, or perhaps our lives shall be privatized behind the peoples' backs by a government imposed by a cabal of traitors to the patria, manipulators of the most needy class by a centralist party, that has been using the peoples' resources for more than seventy years in order to mantain themselves in power, as they are now doing in the indigenous communities, campesinos who have still not awoken, because they are receiving crumbs in exchange for speaking against their own brothers, passing themselves off as zapatistas.

Such as the turning in of weapons by those purported repentant zapatistas, who do not know international law or the law of war. Such as the Attorney General, Eduardo Montoya Lievano, or those from the Departments of Government, a State government that says it respects the people, that says it fights for Peace and is seeking reconciliation, receives weapons from paramilitary groups that have been delivered by or financed by the same cabal of prosecutors, Departments of Government and State Government, who authorize economic programs supposedly for change, authorities who do not know the people, a government that does not govern for the people, but for a group in power in Chiapas.

Others come to trample on the dignity of the chiapaneco people, and we continue to allow the governments to decide for us, such as Zedillo choosing his team in order to control power, as the candidates are once again selected by cronyism. Such as Zedillo, Labastida, Ruiz Ferro, Enrique Hernandez, Uriel Jarquin, and other officials.

A military that says it is safeguarding national sovereignty, who are actually bloodthirsty and inhuman and who should be in jail, while those who are struggling together in their communities are subjected to torture, imprisonment and death, there are many paramilitaries who are now exchanging weapons for economic programs, for those there will be programs because they have weapons, and for those who do not have weapons the government crumbs will not arrive.

We, the political prisoners of The Voice of Cerro Hueco, call on all our indigenous and non-indigenous brothers of our country and of the world to not allow themselves to be deceived by the media who take part in the manipulation of the bad information that the government prepares, such as the turning in of weapons by purported zapatistas.

We, as prisoners, do not intend to sell our dignity, rather we are prepared to continue fighting for our Liberty, even though our children, wives and parents are in the midst of extreme poverty, and our children are without education because they do not have our support, because of the distance and that we are far away from our homes.

We are fighting from within this small sky that the government builds and is continuing to build, jails for children, men and women, old ones, who struggle for everyone for Democracy, Justice and Liberty. We gave evidence of that in the National Consulta, where there were 800 votes from prisoners, and 461,000 in the state of Chiapas, and across the nation almost three million Mexicans voted in favor of Peace.

FRATERNALLY,

FOR A LIBERTY WITH JUSTICE AND DIGNITY,
THE POLITICAL PRISONERS OF THE VOICE OF CERRO HUECO.
